In spite of this, there is, in the Brazilian literature, no articles or books about him, nor his writings have been translated into Portuguese, so creating a gap for the researchers in career counseling in Brazil. This article intends to rescue the history of one the most important names in professional guidance and demythicize some ideas about him. The article presents and comments on Frank Parsons life career and his main ideas and methods. These are discribed in the book Choosing a Vocation published in 1909, and still unpublished in Brazil.
