The purpose of the present article is to question the training of Career Counselors in view of the multiple changes that are evident in present society. It focuses on the changes of the orientation process itself and relates its non-critical use of techniques to the ambiguity of craving for changes while still missing the old ways. The article also reflects the difficulties found in developing the orientation processes in view of economic, educational and family structure changes.
