TURKE, Sandra Regina. Obsessive manifestations in the female universe:: a new request?. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2010, vol.13, n.2, pp.217-227. ISSN 1516-0858.

This research aims to analyze the relationship between obsession and femininity through the assertion made by four contemporary psychoanalysts that obsessional manifestations in women had increased today - mainly due to the changes in their social role. Related to Chemama, Costa, Kehl and Santoro's statement is the idea that the woman, who at the time of Freud played a passive role in society, is currently playing an active one. A discussion focusing upon this theme was made possible through the analysis of some Freudian texts. Initially some current data are presented, a brief overview on the obsessive manifestations in the female universe and, as follows: the array of clinical neurosis in Freud (until 1896) and the obsessional neurosis in Freud (1900-1926) - Freud's concept of female, and, to finish, a discussion on Freud's conception of the obsessional neurosis, mainly on the concepts of active and passive.

Palavras-chave : Obsession; Femininity; Active; Passive; Freud's metapsychology.
