NEVES, MATHEUS DA SILVA e LORDELLO, SILVIA RENATA. Needs assessment with Lgbtqia+ people: a dialogical-narrative perspective. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.57, pp.278-295. Epub 07-Jun-2024. ISSN 2175-1390.
Prejudice is an aspect of socialization that crosses and marks the forms of self-identification of the Self and its ability to produce dialogues with the world. The article analyzes narratives about experiences in the light of collaborative and dialogic practices, with the aim of obtaining input for psychosocial interventions with/for LGBTQIA+ people. To this end, a study was carried out with a focus group of LGBTQIA+ people over 18 years of age, users of social care services, using Needs Assessment as a methodological tool. This tool was improved with review by qualified peers on the topic of assessments, gender and diversity. Data collection directs our attention to the vulnerable conditions that sex-gender diverse people experience and the adaptations they have constructed to fit in. The results demonstrate how the experience of these people was permeated by discrimination in different socialization and development environments, evidenced by content analysis.
