SIMON, CRISTIANE PAULIN  e  RASERA, EMERSON FERNANDO. Relational responsibility and restorative practices: building possibilities for change. Rev. psicol. polít. [online]. 2023, vol.23, n.57, pp.375-391.  Epub 07-Jun-2024. ISSN 2175-1390.

Restorative justice (RJ) is considered an alternative approach of justice that seeks, through restorative practices, to build new meanings of justice and transform the way of relating that are based on the individualistic tradition, based on a relational and community ethic. In this theoretical essay we analyze the contributions of the concept of relational responsibility from its domains of intelligibility (internalized others, joint relationships, relationship between groups and systemic process) to restorative practices. The analysis carried out highlights how the concept of relational responsibility contributes for restorative practices expanding the area of accountability for social conflicts, recognizing the macro-social conditions of their production and implementing a practice committed to confronting the historical social injustices that permeate social conflicts. Otherwise, there is a risk of reproducing and sustaining a punitive model of justice.

Palavras-chave : relational responsibility; restorative practices; social constructionism; social psychology.
