Potential effects of passion for work on well-being in organizations have been suggested in research. There is a lack of evidence to ensure the measurement of this construct in Brazil and the effects of the dimensions harmonious passion (HP) and obsessive passion (PO) on the flow experience (absorption, intrinsic motivation and enjoyment) and occupational self-efficacy. The present research aimed to estimate new validity evidence of the Passion for Work scale and to evaluate the association between passion, flow, and occupational self-efficacy. The sample consisted of 556 professionals from both sexes. Exploratory factor analysis suggested the adequacy of the structure composed of two-related factors, corresponding to the theoretical model. Structural equation modeling demonstrated that both forms of passion were positively associated with absorption and intrinsic motivation, however only HP showed significant relationship with enjoyment and occupational self-efficacy.
