MEYER, Alan Victor. The Rome Discourse: a turning-point in psychoanalysis. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2009, vol.32, n.49, pp.170-176. ISSN 0101-3106.
Despite the criticism to which it has been subjected, the Rome Discourse remains a crucial text in so far as it establishes the central place of language in psychoanalysis. The author underlines the importance attributed to Heidegger by Lacan. His point is that Heidegger and in particular his work “Logos”, offers a foundation for the ontological dimension of language that is pertinent to psychoanalysis.
