The objectives of this work were, first, to evaluate the complaint of the teacher in relation to the education system, and second, to correlate the complaint of the teacher with the psychological evaluation of children with learning difficulties. It participated in this research: 7 teachers and 40 children, between 7 and 8 years, of 1st grade of two state schools of Campinas city, divided in two groups: Group A (20 children without learning difficulties) and Group B (20 children with learning difficulties), classified according to opinion of the participant teachers. The School Performance Test - SPT (Stein, 1994), Gestalt Visomotor Test (Sisto, 2005) and Reading and Writing Test (Capellini, 2001) had been used. With the teachers, a questionnaire with six open questions and the performance characterization protocol of the children were applied. The results were analyzed through descriptive statistic and correlation index, where it was observed that exist concrete reasons linked to the real conditions of work that make difficult one better accomplishment of educational practices. The teacher's in this group attribute that the difficulties of the children are due the internal causes (organic) or associated the family. It was found high correlations (greater to 70%) between the School Performance evaluations (general, reading and writing) according of the teacher and the SPT, and moderate correlation (lower to 69%) between the teacher evaluation of the Performance in Mathematics and the SPT, and low significant correlations (p<0.05) between the Performance evaluations according of teacher and the Gestalt Visomotor Test.
