BORGES, Karina Kelly e MACHADO, Andréa Carla. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Implications of COVID-19. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2021, vol.38, n.117, suppl.1, pp.167-170. ISSN 0103-8486. https://doi.org/10.51207/2179-4057.20210053.
Individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are particularly vulnerable to distress caused by pandemic measures and physical distancing, and may present with greater behavioral problems. From this perspective, systematic teaching through programs directed according to the theme being developed becomes one of the evidence-based practices most applied to children and young people with ADHD. Creating daily routines can help you get into good habits and alleviate some symptoms of the Disorder. Health and education professionals need to develop and/or adapt targeted programs in order to overcome the psychological, social and other aspects revealed by exposure to COVID-19 and help individuals with ADHD.
