The aim of this paper is to know the perception of Brazilians who lived temporarily abroad concerned to their own culture. It means, how they perceive the Brazilian culture comparing to the foreign culture considering similar and different aspects. The meaning of living abroad and the personal change will be also discussed. It’s a qualitative research, which the results obtained from individual interviews with 6 participants were examined through Content Analysis. We find out that Brazilians consider that there is the prevalence of affective in their culture, as well as the prevalence of lack of responsibility with appointments, of improvisation and lack of planning in actions. As a result of migratory experience, it is identified that living abroad let personal discovers and maturation. And this experience in another country can cause adaptation difficulties in the new culture as well as in the return to Brazil.
