This paper presents reflections about the Psychology professor preparation course in the professor's training that aim to discuss its educative purposes. The base assumption is that this sphere of analysis is related to the teacher training courses' organization, considering Higher Education level, as well as the teaching process applied by the teacher educators. By recognizing teacher educators as active intellectuals transformers and the teleological approach of the education, it is proposed the overcome of naiveness conceptions which understand the educational activity as neutral and the professor education as a technical matter. This paper argues in favor of a critical and emancipatory rationality in which the psychology teaching is based on an omnilateral view of human being, by the problematization of the real, by the continuous struggle for a more fair and decent life for all citizens and by the dialogic interlocution of these matters with the theoretical frameworks of psychology.
