SOUZA, Maria Abigail de e KALLAS, Renata Galves Merino. Analysis of destructivity of drug addicted: contribution to a psichotherapeutic approach. Temas psicol. [online]. 2009, vol.17, n.2, pp.377-391. ISSN 1413-389X.
The theoretical understanding of the phenomena of the drug addiction, as well as the analysis of the destructivity, existing in the transferential dynamics of these patients, reveals itself as an essential factor, in so far as this destructivity reveals itself not only as a disturbance source of the psychic development, but also to the great difficulty that it represents for a psychotherapeutic approach, which leads to the need of distinguishing between a destructivity more linked to the violence or to the aggressiveness, for a better interventive direction. This article's objective is to demonstrate the importance of the destructivity analysis regarding drug addicts, which will be performed through the presentation of its excessive manifestations of violence and aggressiveness. The destructive expression will be illustrated based on results obtained with drug addicted individuals, 39 patients in a situation of psychodiagnostic and 26 patients in psychotherapy of psychoanalytic orientation, in Mental Health public institutions, in Health Centers linked to the Alcohol and Drug problem and in the Psychological Clinic of the Instituto de Psicologia of the São Paulo University. The importance of destructive aspects, as observed in the psychological diagnosis will be discussed, regarding the links with narcissism and object relations, assuming different levels of psychic structure. Data obtained in psychotherapy will be object of considerations and suggestions for indication of psychotherapeutic intervention with higher efficiency.
