VILHENA, Junia; ROSA, Carlos Mendes  e  NOVAES, Joana de Vilhena. Narrating pains: The tatoo as narrative. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2015, vol.37, n.33, pp.129-154. ISSN 1413-6295.

What would be the implicit and explicit functions assigned by the subject's own body in his historical narrative itself? This article seeks to reflect on the new territories of subjectivity through the meanings of body and transgression. Taking as our object of analysis teenagers who mark their bodies, especially those tattooed with inscriptions of criminals commands, exposing themselves twice to rival commands and police, we sought evidence of the dimensions that the embodiment has assumed nowadays. If, as it seems, the modes of subjectivity would be having its epicenter moved toward the body, the body would then acquire the status of essential support for subjective historicity. Target of control and social regulation, the body took over privileged place in the production of narratives that often replace words.

Palavras-chave : Body; Tattoo; Culture; Subjectivity; Institutionalized youth.
