This research sets as the main objective to know who are the career Psychology teachers of public schools in the State of São Paulo and understand how their career, conceptions and practices were formed. Data were collected with 11 career Psychology teachers in public schools of the State of São Paulo from different Directories of Education (Capital, São Paulo megalopolis and countryside) through semi-structured interview. The presentation of the material from the interviews was organized in three stages: 'Dawn' (on initial training and the beginning of teaching), the 'Path' (the trajectory, the changes, the best experiences, difficulties encountered) and finally, the 'Twilight' (the final step and retirement).The observation and analysis of the interviews allowed to show many common and also different experiences of teachers. Most interviewees reported that despite of the initial disinterest for the degree and for teaching, there was a growing involvement with the profession. Reflection on the practice led the teachers to seek more meaningful content for their students, with more participatory methodologies that resulted in experience remembered with feelings. The difficult working conditions that caused disease processes and removal were also remembered; the ambivalence before retirement was also reported by some interviewees. It is hoped that the study can contribute as a record of experiences and contribute to the training of future teachers.
