Although pregnancy is considered to be a common event in women’s reproductive life, little attention has been given to their normal physical and psychological changes concerning their health condition and the perception of their quality of life. This research aimed at assessing the Quality of Life of high-risk pregnant women assisted at the Center for Women Assistance. This is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The data collection was performed by means of two instruments: one related to the quality of life, and questionnaire sociodemographic one. The applied questionnaires assessed the quality of life of 110 high-risk pregnant women. The results showed that single pregnant women have poorer quality of life compared to married women, and the greater the number of children, the worse the quality of life. These results have shown the need for monitoring participants in these special programs during their prenatal care, to contribute to assisting high-risk pregnancies, thereby improving the quality of life of this population. Despite the physical and emotional discomfort experienced by these pregnant women, they had a positive perception of their quality of life.
