This article has for objective to contemplate on a methodological procedure which we fell back upon to constitute orals discursive materials of a qualitative research in historical perspective, that searched to know aspects of the teaching of the written textual production in the 4th series of the Fundamental Teaching from a school from Cuiabá-MT in the period from 1990 at 2000. The results of the research revealed a distancement between the prescriptions and the oral report as for the teaching of the written textual production in that century. © Ciências & Cognição 2006; Vol. 09: 02-xxx.
