Abstract This paper intends to show some of the activities and publications carried out on the Biochemistry Educational field, presenting the results of a documentary analysis carried out on this knowledge field. Biochemistry Education's late appearance in the science education scene enables us to list some of its productions, as well as to point out places from where this field emerged on the Brazilian post-graduation. In this sense, this work aims to contribute on mapping works that have been developed in a field which, although recent, is very productive and necessary for our educational research. © Ciências & Cognição 2007; Vol. 10: 147-155.
