The main objective of this study is to understand the experience of worker on cleaning and hygiene against the contact with the users of a cancer treatment center. The research methodology by the use of semi-structured with participants of the research interviews and meetings with the heads of employees and managers. Participants were six workers in the cleaning service. The discourse analysis from the interviews based on the phenomenological hermeneutics. It is noticed that there is an establishment of a strong link between these actors, through significant emotional exchanges, making such professionals as members of the care team. The bond generates feelings of satisfaction and self-realization, but also pain and suffering resulting from deaths and worsening health status of patients. The workers, from your care, suffer when a child dies or gets worse, and there is, however, room to experience this suffering. The contribution of this study points to the need to understand the relationships between professionals of cleaning and users.
