NEUFELD, Carmem Beatriz; XAVIER, Gabriela Salim  e  STOCKMANN, Juliane Denise. Teaching cognitive-behavioral therapy in undergraduate courses in psychology: a survey in the states of Parana and Sao Paulo. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2010, vol.6, n.1, pp.42-61. ISSN 1808-5687.

The Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a theoretical line of psychology defined as a brief approach and that aims to modify thoughts, emotions and behaviors that are considered dysfunctional. Despite being a recent practice in Brazil, it is attracting great interest from health professionals and graduate students. In the meantime, this study aimed to investigate the presence of CBT in Undergraduate Courses in Psychology of the Brazilian states of Parana and Sao Paulo. To collect the data, were contacted via email or via phone all Undergraduate Courses in Psychology approved by MEC until the year 2009 in both states. Was requested access to the syllabus and / or the syllabus of the subjects who reported the contents of CBT. Undergraduate courses in which there was no response, we sought access to public information available on the website of institutions such as the curricular course and / or the menu in the discipline mentioned. The results indicate a movement of insertion of CBT in Undergraduate Courses in Psychology, being a more prominent presence in Sao Paulo than in Parana
