The Brazilian drug consumption and the problems related to the use are currently contemplated as a challenge for the society. In the Brazilian history, countless legislative modification culminated in a public policy about drugs, with a model change in the approach of users and dependents. The study aim is to expose a literature narrative review regarding the public policy about drugs in the Brazilian context. Development and setback are perceived, with exorbitance laws nullification, organs creation and management changing in the numerous government section. Due to the issue complexity, there is a demand for efficient process to reinforce the privilege to health and dignity of all drug users.
