VALADARES, Maíra de Oliveira et al. Intergenerational group therapy with elderly dementiated: children's and caregivers perceptions. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.2, pp.1-10. ISSN 1809-8908.
The objective of this study was to evidence the perceptions of children and caregivers participating in the intergenerational therapeutic group on the dementiated elderly members of the group and to identify their considerations regarding their participation in this group. It was a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, using different questionnaires for children and caregivers, and their application was carried out in a group at the same time. It was found that, in general, the experience of participating in an intergenerational group with demented elderly, both for caregivers and for children, was perceived as positive. It was identified that the caregivers and children participating in the group presented positive attitudes towards the demented elderly, as they reported being happy with this coexistence, either in the group or in the family.
