MACHADO, Camila Borges e CALAIS, Lara Brum de. Interlacing (im)possibilities: reflections on the performance of community social psychology in primary health care. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.4, pp.1-15. ISSN 1809-8908.
This paper reports the experience of a traineeship at a Basic Health Unit (UBS) in the city of Juiz de Fora/MG. The objective was to analyze the practice of Community Social Psychology (PSC) and its (im) possibilities of actions. In the context studied, the strategies used were: information systematization, informal conversations and home visits. These strategies, developed in conjunction with the service team and users, proved to be important for the mapping of the territory and in the process of approaching the residents. With regard to ethical issues, it was observed the importance of sustaining a critical perspective of the PSC, in an attempt to break with the hegemonic patterns of Psychology. With this, it can be observed that strategies under the critical perspective can favor actions more integrated to the needs of the population served by UBS. The internship pointed to questions about the models of performance provided by Psychology, opening space to discuss an action committed to the community.
