A psychological model of entrepreneurial success was interculturally tested using a West-German and a Brazilian sample of small and middle scale entrepreneurs. It was intended to find the potential influence of cultural and socioeconomic conditions on the efficacy of entrepreneurial strategies. Determinated entrepreneurial strategies were related to value dimensions based on Hofstede (1994) as well as to socio-economic dimensions. lntercultural differences for the efficacy and mediation role of these entrepreneurial strategies were postulated related to psychological theorems based on the strong differences between the researched national cultures what concerns the value dimension "Power Distance" and the socioeconomic dimension "Environmental Hostility". The empirical results proved that the strategies that correspond to different dimensions are according to the prognostics, differently efficacious.
