BADIN, Rayssa e MARTINHO, Maria Helena. The capitalist discourse and its gadgets. Trivium [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.2, pp.140-154. ISSN 2176-4891. https://doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2018v2p.140.
This text proposes to take the Lacanian propositions about the capitalist discourse to interrogate: what place does the contemporary subject occupy in this discourse? What effects does this discourse have on the subject? In the expectation of trying to answer these questions, the study seeks theoretical foundations in the works of Freud and Lacan. Capitalist discourse is presented as a slip of the master's discourse, as a discourse that does not make social ties, forcows castration. His matema shows how the two imperatives of enjoyment - "produce!" And "consume!" - operate in this discourse, and highlights the effects they elicit in the consumer subject.
