Behavioral Discourse Analysis (BDA) is an interpretative method of the function of a set of verbal behaviors. To develop an BDA, the analysis of the elements of verbal segments of an interview with a cancer patient ware supplemented with actions of: to interpret-discriminate instances of sentences-argument and their antecedents and consequences; to reinterpret them to find examples that confirm the correctness of certain functions; to do a functional description of interpretation; and to self-descript the function of the interpretation. It was observed a frequent occurrence of autoclitic unities which exacerbated the function of responses that they accompanied, to the same direction of the "intention" of the discourse: to increase the convincing power. It was observed the multiple control of the discourse and, so that, the access to all the variables that control it was a difficulty in its analysis.
