PRADO, Thiago Silva  e  MAIO, Eliane Rose. Educational psychology counselling in Higher Education. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2019, vol.36, n.109, pp.109-120. ISSN 0103-8486.

The present research aims to analyze the educational psychology counselling in Higher Education as a tool to support managers, teachers and students. The methodological procedure concerns a field search in a Higher Education institution of Maringá/PR with the application of a questionnaire by two education professionals. After the query, the intention is to establish a comparison among the educational practices embraced by this institution through a qualitative analysis. Furthermore, the research is also characterized as an innovation to the Educational area, because there is a deficiency in theories that already exists. Therefore, it is possible to believe that this study will serve as a manual to support the work with students with special learning problems that arrive in the Higher Education. To fulfill the study, authors among the psycho-pedagogy area, such as Azevedo, Echeita & Rodríguez and Saravali, were used to assist the reflections about how to approach, diagnose and prevent the student from being without effective teaching counselling. Finally, the last observations of the present study indicate that in this specific case there still is lack of knowledge and practice by the psycho-pedagogy counsel, which could lead to a market disadvantage.
