This research, intitled "Subjectivity and Psychic Suffering in the Formation of the Subject in the University", developed by means of study of case from verbal story of a together student of graduation to the Nucleus of Attendance and Psychological Practices (NAPP) of the Universidade Estadual do Ceará, searched to establish the relation between subjectivity, psychic suffering, learning and learning formation. Reflections from the history of life of this subject suggest possible interaction of the malaise of the student with the institution and the society, that seem to elucidate themselves in the context of the "psychic symptoms" of suffering brought by this to set therapeutical.
