Mental health is a concept/basic field of activity in the surrounding society, and a creation of European civilization. In the Brazilian society so which, despite being guided today by psychosocial vias, brings important incongruities that make up the field so ambiguous and has impact on these populations. It is impossible to apply the reductionist concepts of health issues, especially mental health, directly on indigenous cultures that are on the contrary the surrounding society, holistic. Therefore, itis necessary to mediate inter/transcultural, integrated by interdisciplinarity, as well as by transdisciplinarity.
