CRIBARI, Isabela. The skins of Almodóvar or Is anyone there?. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2017, n.47, pp.149-156. ISSN 0100-3437.

This article presents interpretations for human passion, addressing the metapsychology of the body (and its telos, in time). It traces a course that goes beyond the corporeal component, and advances into a study of the libidinal body within language - this subtle, immaterial body, but that is also nonetheless - a body. A study on the passions in Descartes, Spinoza and Freud, and Lacan, from the cinematographic production of Pedro Almodóvar. The work seeks to understand this pathos by analyzing the myths of Psyche and Eros, as well as Danaids, in order to provide a unified approach to these thoughts. The intention of the article is to begin with an understanding of this ancient, initial idea, this arché, of the origin of all things, of a common past or primitive feeling, and pursue reflections on contemporaneity, since the contemporary is also the ancient - and this includes passions. Passion is the search for this archaic, idealized feeling of total satisfaction. The ethics of psychoanalysis are involved in bringing to an end this longing for a protective father, for a mother who supplies and satisfies everything as to deal with this helplessness, with this lack. Mourning this childlike fantasy does us good. Accordingly, move on, body & soul, within this dead time. Telos, corpus, chronos, psyche, eros, arché, pathos. This article addresses this specific pathos, that which psychoanalysis takes care of - that which is inscribed with love in the body -, and also seeks to understand love as a pathology that enables psychoanalysis in its object, such that it is not the skins that are important, but rather whoever inhabits them.
