This research seeks is to investigate the meaning of the election of the Psychology graduation course by middle-aged students, having Carl G. Jung's analytical psychology as theoretical frame of reference. Having observed the significant number of undergraduate Psychology students aged 40 to 50, and understanding that this stage of human development is marked by transformations and deep existential questions, we sought to understand these students' experience, the determining choice factors, their expectations and life projects. We supported our analysis on a phenomenological qualitative research conducted with six Psychology students enrolled in a private university in Uberlândia. We used an open interview and, later, identified the meaning units presented. We verified that the influential choice factors for the course were related to the individuation process.
