The concept of coping is characterized by the way in which a person deals with a stressful situation, and it is well accepted that personality features can influence the pattern of problems management. Therefore, the objective of this study was to correlate personality profiles and coping strategies. 50 men aged between 18 and 50 years of participated in this research. The following instruments were used: Battery of Personality Factor (BPF) and the Scale of Coping Modes (SCM). The results found were direct correlation for the neuroticism trait and the coping strategy focused on the emotion; also, related to this strategy, an inverse correlation was found with the socialization trait. The socialization and realization traits were positively correlated with the strategies focused on the problem and social support seeking, and also there was positive correlation between the extroversion trait and social support seeking.
