Studies and researches on family companies aim a knowledge group that they are highest importance in the diagnoses and interventions in this organization. This study developed a parallel about how the principles of the Quality of Life in the Work (QVT), proposed by WALTON apud FERNANDES (1996), are inserted in the family company. Through this analyzes, indicative variables of QVT proposals for WALTON as: Fair Compensation and joust; Work's Conditions; Use and development of capacities; Opportunity of Growth and Security; Social integration in the Organization; Work and Total Space of Life; Social relevance of Work in Life - part of these, work's conditions, social integration, constitutionalism are precarious in the enterprise branch in the generality. However, family company beyond these obstacles, face the professionalization and the succession, that involves conflicts of personal and family order divergent of other enterprise groups. This analyze facilitated to understand as the variable propose by WALTON to investigate QVT can be useful in the diagnosis of family companies, because this managerial segment to stay competitive and more human should be capable to generate actions that contemplate an pleasant and healthful work's atmosphere
