MOTTA, Bruno Feital Barbosa; PERUCCHI, Juliana e FILGUEIRAS, Maria Stella Tavares. The user embracement in Brazil: a study of systematic review on the theme. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2014, vol.17, n.1, pp.121-139. ISSN 1516-0858.
In Brasil, health is a right to all and a duty of the State. The practice of user embracement has been one of the most important elements of the National Humanization Policy (NHP) from the National Health System. Objective: to analyze the national publications of scientific articles about the user embracement as National Humanization Policy as health, betweeen 2001 and 2011. Method: This is a qualitative systematic review, conducted in LILACS database using the descriptor "user embracement". Of the 560 articles found, 175 were analyzed. Using the content analysis method, the following items were analyzed: location where the research was made; year of the publication; level of health attention in which the article treats the user embracement; method of research used in the article; and most common themes associated to the user embracement. Conclusion: it is remarkable the great emphasis of the user embracement associated to primary health attention considering that the majority of the researches are made with a qualitative methodology and focused in user’s interviews. There’s still much to be discussed on the operationalization of the user embracement, particularly in the secondary and tertiary levels of health care services to achieve the desired qualifications of public health services.
