The power of the big Other. Cogito [online]. 2010, vol.11, pp.26-28. ISSN 1519-9479.

This article distinguishes fundamentally the concept of the Other, that is, language, from the idea of another person, to show that power in psychoanalysis is a matter that concerns the relationship between the subject and the significant; the subject is a tributary of the significant and is so the other exercises power.
