PONTE, Carlos Roger Sales da. "Individual " and "person": similarities and differences between Kierkegaard and Rogers. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2011, vol.3, n.2, pp.39-68. ISSN 2175-2591.
Fruit of a research conducted in the Masters Degree in Psychology at the UFC, this article seeks to question the fact that the influence of the Sören Kierkegaard philosophy's in the formation of psychology centered in the person of Carl Rogers does not pass a historical and epistemological misunderstanding. In order to clarify this with more clarity, it is confronted here the concept of "Individual" of Kierkegaard and the concept of "Person" in Rogers, establishing their similarities and differences. I conclude that the reading of Kierkegaard, Rogers provided elements for a meditation on clinical practice and even personal. However, the prospect of an openness to the new existential Rogers has come from observations of phenomena in psychotherapy. The sources of Rogers are anchored in clinical practice and not in the existential philosophy of Kierkegaard. The concepts of "Individual" and "Person" serve as illustration for this thesis.
