FERREIRA, Rodrigo Mendes. The psychoanalyst’s body: possible impacts of clinical pratice on the psychoanalyst’s body. Reverso []. 2008, 30, 56, pp.61-70. ISSN 0102-7395.

This article discusses a rarely explored theme: the psychoanalyst’s body. The author considers the possible impacts of  clinical pratice on the psychoanalyst’s body. He analyses how the body can be affected, within a long period of time, by the contact with massive projections of anxiety and hostility coming from the patients. The article concludes that the remains and the blind points from the  psychoanalyst’s own analysis, together with the unconscious face of counter-transference, can bring a harmful effect to his body.
