COPPUS, Alinne Nogueira Silva. From the imaginary body to the body marked by the object a in Lacan’s teachings: a torsion. Reverso []. 2008, 30, 56, pp.71-75. ISSN 0102-7395.

The article discusses Lacan’s mirror stage in education - in which the body appears as an image to be built - and the optical scheme - which highlights the Other in the acquisition of the image and the presence of the object a in the instinctual body. More interesting than seeing these two moments in an isolated and exclusionary form, we propose a torsion, inspired by the Moebius band, in the approach of the body in education as elaborated by Lacan, an imaginary body that doesn’t fail to point to  an unrepresentable rest represented by the object a.
