CASTILHO, Pedro Teixeira. Beyond the Oedipus: the symptom between knowledge and truth. Reverso []. 2011, 33, 61, pp.91-95. ISSN 0102-7395.

In the Seminar book 17: the reverse of psychoanalysis, Lacan puts tension on the Oedipus myth and the myth of Totem and Taboo. For this, Lacan revisits the only observation of Freud which he had not been served: the case of Dora (Freud, 1901/2003). Lacan observes that in the case of Dora, her father occupies a pivotal point. This article demonstrates that Lacan attaches great importance to the second dream of Dora, in particular, the forgotten fragment, which Dora did not remember only after the interpretation of Freud, concerning the first part, where she dreams that his father is dead. Therefore, Lacan makes reference to Totem and Taboo demonstrating that truth is a logical structure. So, to complete the article, we demonstrate that we find the reverse of the father, that is, with his enjoyment, that producesses a separation between knowledge and truth.
