RIBES, Emilio SERRANO, Mano. Effects of three pre-training procedures on the acquisition and transfer of a matching-to-sample task. Acta comport. []. 2006, 14, 2, pp.145-169. ISSN 0188-8145.
Three groups of four college students each were exposed to one of three corrective pre-training second-order matching-to-sample procedures: criterion-learning (CL), performance- description (PF), and criterion-tracking (CT). Two control groups (corrective and non-corrective) were exposed to an instrumental training procedure of the same task. Groups CL, PF and non-corrective control had few errors during the acquisition of a second matching-to-sample task. Correct performance in an extra-dimensional transfer test was higher for the Group CL, followed by the Groups PD, non-corrective control, CT, and corrective control. Results are discussed in terms of the variables that facilitate performance criteria.
