This article is based on bibliographical research on use of therapeutic and psycho-pedagogical approaches for teenagers who experience an ambiguous loss to tackle grief by facing and releasing emotions, feelings, thoughts and ways of relating to others that can be blocked due to the confusion and uncertainty stemming from the lack of a social reference to support such feelings. The conclusion is that various forms of writing -literary texts, therapeutic and psycho-pedagogical stories- either in individual or group therapy or a learning group can be a very useful tool, since they foster new perspectives and a range of possible ways to highlight vital aspects of the loss and thereby encourage teenagers to rewrite their lives and relationships.
