Social representations show elements, images and attitudes that inmates possess around addiction. The aim of this work was to realize a discursive approach to drugs experience between a group of addict inmates who was participating in a rehabilitation program in a prison of México City. It was carried out semi-structured interviews that submit to a content analysis. A same practice, in this case, drugs consumption could be oriented by different representations: like a "bad habit" and like a "disease". Be in jail for a felony generates that addiction would be perceived like "bad habit", when it occurs a significance rupture and they come to a clinical space for leave from drugs consumption, this practice becomes a "disease".
