In this study we explore the use of rule games in school as a strategy to ease the development of cooperative relationships. According to the psychogenetic approaches, rule games allow exchanges among equals based on reciprocity, favoring cooperation. We then analyzed the routine of two schools, considering what was provided before the games and the cooperative tendencies of the students. The first stage of data collect we used an interview guide for the pedagogic professionals and an observation protocol. These instruments were important to the characterization of schools related to the use of rule games. In a second phase we investigated aspects related to learner’s cooperative trend. The data were systematized in a descriptive way. The results demonstrated that the higher presence of rule games in context of constructive school was followed by a higher cooperative performance of its learners.
