There is an evident need for care practices with the necessary conceptual adjustments for a better harmony with the different ethnic-cultural realities. This article presents an experience report on the care of Karajás indigenous people admitted to a Psychosocial Care Center due to a history of attempted suicide. This is an excerpt from the research entitled: "Care and prevention actions for suicide among indigenous people", a qualitative descriptive investigation carried out in a Psychosocial Care Center, in a capital in the central region of Brazil, in the period from 2014 to 2018.
