Abstract

This work aims to discuss the role of affect in contemporary life, based on a brief picture of some aspects of contemporary subjectivity, in order to bring some subsidies to its rescue. We hope that these considerations may contribute not only to the clinical practice, considering psychic suffering of those demanding psychological attention, but also to the social field, as they point to the need of a permanent citizenship exercise.
