Resumen

SOUZA, Maria Thereza Costa Coelho de. Affective valorizations in fairy tales representations: a piagetian view. Bol. psicol [online]. 2005, vol.55, n.123, pp. 205-232. ISSN 0006-5943.

Piagetian constructivism and his theory of intelligence dispense presentation. However, his conceptions about the role of affective valorizations in the construction of knowledge and children development are less known. The choices of objects or reality aspects and the types of moral judgement are also influenced by affective valorizations. Thus, according to Piaget, the selection of interesting and admirable qualities (material or abstract ones) in others or selves, are necessarily linked to emotional development. This paper aims to discuss the role of affectivity as interests in children's representations of two Brothers Grimm’s fairy tales. Some parts of interviews are presented to illustrate the characters' admirable or not admirable qualities, which were pointed by children, depending on their age and development.

Palabras clave : Affective valorizations; Piaget; Fairy tales.
