This text justifies the need to rethink the psychoanalytic clinic when it’s done in institutions that are different from that of private offices, considering not only the characteristics of the clientele, but also those of the new institutional set. Basically, the present article describes and comments a psychological service to young people who live in FEBEM-SP. This service is a part of a socio-educational project, called Fique Vivo! (Stay alive!). There is a presupposition that psychoanalytic work is possible beyond the recurrent office practices beyond the knowledge fields from where it was developed. Techniques and some of its concepts must be thus adapted, in order to achieve satisfactory results. Two concepts are most directly treated: transfer and institutional context. In spite of their pertinence to different discourses (transfer/psychoanalysis and context/institutional analysis), they both constitute the analytical listening.
