Abstract

FLORY, Elizabete Villibor  and  RAMOZZI-CHIAROTTINO, Zélia. The relation “figure and ground” and the infra-logical structures in the building of the psycho-social identity of people with severe drawbacks of behavior. Bol. psicol [online]. 2006, vol.56, n.125, pp. 171-187. ISSN 0006-5943.

The present work is based in the Gestalt Theory and the Piaget Theory about the construction of the real. This integration was developed from Wernet’s gestaltist approach concerning the development of the act of perceiving (Affolter). The methodology is based on case-based observation. The behavior of five participants (between 22 and 44 years-old), with severe behavior problems and damaged cerebral functions was examined, as well as psychotherapeutics interventions. The purpose was to evidence their actions meaning, which can be considered to be an expression of the law of pregnancy of Wertheimer and to support their psychic reorganization and socialization as well. It was verified a decrease in the frequency of break-downs, a replacement of the so called “self aggressive behavior” in favor of other ways of response without negative consequences, and an improvement in the likelihood of interaction with other people.

Keywords : Gestalt; Infra-logical structures; Reeducation; Severe drawbacks of behavior; Genetic Epistemology.
