Abstract

Scientific society / association importance: science development and professional - researcher formation. Bol. psicol [online]. 2007, vol.57, n.126, pp. 1-14. ISSN 0006-5943.

The aim of the paper was to reflect on the scientific associations’ classification, the contingencies of the society’s relevance, and the roles of the scientific associations in relation of the knowledge production, the publications and the researchers’ formation. The relationship between the association and others organization is also presented. The focus is the Sociedade de Psicologia de São Paulo. Suggestions about the Society development were enclosed in the paper.
