Abstract

ESTEVES, Cristiano  and  CASTRO, Paulo Francisco de. Agressiveness indicators in Draw-A-Person Test taken by male offenders. Bol. psicol [online]. 2008, vol.58, n.128, pp. 15-38. ISSN 0006-5943.

This study aims to present an analysis of formal aspects and aggressiveness indicators observed in the Draw- A-Person Test (DAP) administered to subjects who have committed different crimes, as well as to compare first offenders and repeaters. The Draw-A-Person Test was applied to 100 male inmates aged 19 to 63 from a State of São Paulo prison, who have committed different crimes, being 66% first offenders and 34% repeaters. The analysis showed significant differences in size, shading and profile, indicating higher involvement of repeaters concerning these aspects. There were no differences between aggressiveness indicators. Small personality differences were observed between first offenders and repeaters, which might have influenced the repetition of crimes, although aggressiveness was similar in both groups.
