Abstract

ALBERTINI, Paulo. Wilhelm reich: historical trajectory and insertion of thought in Brazil. Bol. psicol [online]. 2011, vol.61, n.135, pp. 159-176. ISSN 0006-5943.

This theoretical examination is inserted into the domain aimed at the investigation of the ideas of the Austro-Hungarian analyst, Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957). Four purposes make up its base: a) to follow the scientific path trodden by Reich; b) to point out the alliance between theory and practice present in the author's work; c) to identify, throughout the Freudian repertory, the group of notions and perspectives which helped to bring Reich's proposals into focus; d) to come up with considerations concerning the insertion of Reich's thought in Brazil. Conceiving Reich's work as a live and continuous process of construction, which has brought about makings and re-makings of concepts and approaches, we have adopted here a way of historical exposition.

Keywords : Wilhelm Reich; historical trajectory; Wilhelm Reich in Brazil; psychoanalysis.
